This is a small walk down memory lane... younger days in school
A well populated school with no suitable competition in a good radius... made the school buses a very essential need.
Buses used to keep changing in type and numbers too... as the demand
There were times when we had those luxury buses and times when we had that noisy public transport buses. And yes... I also remember a few very slow buses too
But none could beat the true 'School buses'
Mostly yellow in colour... with black lines flowing across the body... they had some charm about them...
In those days... it was around the same time that all the buses from the area used to stand in front of that signal light which opened the door
Then we used to enjoy the racing buses among the tiny cars which used to skid past or behind us...
Sounds not too much of fun... well in those days it was... and some imprints are still left here...
Similar bus - black always needn't be the color for the lines... there were buses with red lines across... fiery indeed... And one of the buses has a twin lion image on the hood... Wow
And yes lights... some buses had two pairs of lights on the front... red and orange and when they started flashing...
Last words - Should be about the best bus I have ridden in school life...
Was with a light green colour with dark green lines... awesome... I entered the bus... the bus had the AC switched on... and must have been running for quite some time because when I entered it was ...
The ride was so good... and it the bus was going all round the place stopping to pick up fellow bus-mates...
It was an intersection every 500m or so... in those small roads...
Right ahead of us... a guy in a pickup flashed his left indicator and was turning left...
Our driver was leaving from a stop and seeing the guy turning away... was calmly increasing speed...
The guy braked... perhaps a car from the cross-road... Our man who was planning to pause briefly at the intersection was not ready for this obstacle in between...
He braked... but not before we could get a glimpse of the pickup spinning and crossing the intersection and finally nudging a parked car ahead.
Our man was at a stop at the heart of the intersection. Was he too fast at the intersection? Maybe... however I was not thinking about that... One of my best rides a bus was coming to an end and I would soon have to go in a replacement bus...
After some deal of waiting... the replacement did come... no AC... it was enough to put me off mood...
He went quite fast I think... Not sure... I was thinking about the Green "Blue Bird"
