Good Morning!

A description of an incident after quite a long time...

So this morning, I land in this town from the bus and look around for an auto-rickshaw

After avoiding the various drivers, I go to the counter directly and get the ticket to my destination. The driver is a thin young man...

A man stands nearby and seems he wants to someplace near. The driver agrees. I have a companion now. The meter is set for him and we are on the road but in some other direction.

Around 40 rupees later, we reach the person's destination where he refuses to give 1.5 times the meter cost as he was not told so.

Anyway, we are back in the opposite...

Halt, college kids want to catch a train and the auto halts for them too... 2 kids are telling him to wait... for... hmmm... 3 more kids...

So... after 5-10 min... they also get in... 3 sit... one person "sits" facing us... and one in the front... I am at the right end staring out to the open sky watching as the sun is slowly waking up...

Enter - Railway Station... 5 get off... 39 rupees... Yes, 5 kids means 1.5 times...

180 degrees - We are on our way... White and Khaki... kind of a Traffic Signal... yes a traffic police... It seems it is illegal when you take a fellow in the driver's seat...

That makes it another 10 min as the fellow tries to proves his innocence by showing the ticket I have... no use... 100 rupees fine... or pocket-money for the TP... whatever...

So there he is... two extra trips for a quick buck... and now he is at loss...

I am late now... so how do I react... give him a fine scolding as soon as we reach there and then pay him... hmmm... not my style...

Or, pay him less and if he protests... I could explain my stand... sounds logical huh...

We are on the way to my place... finally... then I think of Option-C... pay him fully... why make the fellow's poor start to the day even worse...

He may correct himself or he may continue to take risks with passengers who don't protest... but I am not in this anymore...

Reach home - pay him and enter home... nearly an hour or so... But it is another nice morning... you rarely see sunrises these days...

Good Morning to all...

Exactly what are we talking about...

Perhaps you already were thinking about that question while reading through the other posts...

Lots of topics, nothing related to anything else... and the topics themselves flowing from the topic to nowhere and back to the topic...

Well, I face the same problem... If any of my 0 readers suddenly ask me, "Hey man, what exactly is your blog about"

"Hmmm, let me think"

Ctrl+Alt+Del... Okay we shall not ask that question again.

I assume that they are thousands of blogs out there in blogosphere... And I could feel happy of the fact that many blogs are never being read at all... sometimes not even by the person who posted them...

It has become a kind of social diary for a few... and I think I have stayed clear of that path so far...

I have also wanted to start a 'technical' blog... but have not started yet... because it might end up... Ctrl-C-V'ing tech news around the I'net

Another dream is creating a website... having thousands of links... to very good tech articles...

Now that needs time...

These great idea come from a person who has filled up his hard disk and knows that most of it is full of junk but is too lazy to organize it...

So what is my answer to that long subject line I have typed...

Perhaps someday, someone stumbles into this and identifies himself/herself with it and says... "I am impressed", "I am a regular reader", "When is the next post" etc etc...

Anyway, that is not the sole objective... some crazy thoughts always run through this head... and so it is a nice idea to put at least a hundred-thousandth of it in text

So... got to leave now... Keep waiting for the next post...

A game for me...

Hardcore and Softcore gamers are requested to excuse me as this has nothing much related to pure gaming... it is about sims... driving games...

Racing games have been fun for me... and those related car games... NFS, GTA etc...

Coming back... I like these 4-wheeled machines... cars, trucks etc

And I know that I can't own one as of now... so how about driving virtually

The incredible game NFS has many sportscars modelled and it was fun... but it was core racing...

Moving over to trucks... I have played 18 Wheels Of Steel... an amazing truck game...

I am actually waiting for a much more realistic car experience...

Exterior, interior and driver action... and the sound too...

You could get the feel of being in a Ferrari Enzo as well as that luxury effect as a Rolls-Royce...

Nice dream... the ideal driver sim...

You could have a brief story-line too... Race to this point or take the Queen out for a ride or something...

And I could go aon and on...

Hey... to enjoy all that... I would need a fine graphics card in the first place... Gotta buy one...

So there... I have given an idea for a great game...

So long... see you...

P.S - Let me see how many such posts I can put up...

One day on the way to school...

I have generally kept away from conveying anything personal about me or the years that have passed by me... Most of the posts have been about thoughts that have crossed my mind...

This is a small walk down memory lane... younger days in school

A well populated school with no suitable competition in a good radius... made the school buses a very essential need.

Buses used to keep changing in type and numbers too... as the demand increased.

There were times when we had those luxury buses and times when we had that noisy public transport buses. And yes... I also remember a few very slow buses too

But none could beat the true 'School buses'

Mostly yellow in colour... with black lines flowing across the body... they had some charm about them...

In those days... it was around the same time that all the buses from the area used to stand in front of that signal light which opened the door to 20kms of 6-lane highway freedom...

Then we used to enjoy the racing buses among the tiny cars which used to skid past or behind us...

Sounds not too much of fun... well in those days it was... and some imprints are still left here...

Similar bus - black always needn't be the color for the lines... there were buses with red lines across... fiery indeed... And one of the buses has a twin lion image on the hood... Wow

And yes lights... some buses had two pairs of lights on the front... red and orange and when they started flashing...

Last words - Should be about the best bus I have ridden in school life...

Was with a light green colour with dark green lines... awesome... I entered the bus... the bus had the AC switched on... and must have been running for quite some time because when I entered it was ...

The ride was so good... and it the bus was going all round the place stopping to pick up fellow bus-mates...

It was an intersection every 500m or so... in those small roads...

Right ahead of us... a guy in a pickup flashed his left indicator and was turning left...

Our driver was leaving from a stop and seeing the guy turning away... was calmly increasing speed...

The guy braked... perhaps a car from the cross-road... Our man who was planning to pause briefly at the intersection was not ready for this obstacle in between...

He braked... but not before we could get a glimpse of the pickup spinning and crossing the intersection and finally nudging a parked car ahead.

Our man was at a stop at the heart of the intersection. Was he too fast at the intersection? Maybe... however I was not thinking about that... One of my best rides a bus was coming to an end and I would soon have to go in a replacement bus...

After some deal of waiting... the replacement did come... no AC... it was enough to put me off mood...

He went quite fast I think... Not sure... I was thinking about the Green "Blue Bird"

Numerically speaking...

This is a bit confusing post... I am warning you to escape now itself if you don't like the very idea of numbers...

Keeping the blog name as InTeGeR... I should have a word or two about integers right... and that is what I am trying to do here...

Some points about numbers and here it goes...

I am generally inclined towards odd numbers... and I am still trying to find out why... Just see if you can make out some sense from the following lines...

One... 1... Numero uno... is solid, single and supreme and being the starting point of counting... would be the fav number for many...

Two... 2... I was surprised to know that quite a few people like this number... because it brings the concept of couple? Because it is the first legal prime number... whatever... it does not figure in my fav numbers list...

Three... 3 Yet another nice number... the important thing being that it is odd... And yes, the triangle is interesting too... Could be because this odd is one more than even...

Four... 4... Squared again... we have got two twos now... a neat arrangement... but not enough to stimulate me...

Five... Odd again... the best example is the '5' on the dice... have you noticed that middle dot... Good... Though the Pentagon does not interest me too much...

Six... 6... The number of man... we are back to even but an odd even... This number becomes my fav number among single digit numbers... for reasons not related to arithmetics, geometry or any other mathemetics... You could take a guess... but there is something nice about this number...

Seven... 7... Perfect complete number... another odd one... though 7 has a good following... I consider it to be a competitor for 6... and so go on with the latter...

Eight... 8... A geometically complete number... the octagon is a nice geometical shape... I think the only even number to get my appreciation... Also understand that it is digitally complete... LED's would know that better...

Nine... 9... An odd odd.. the second square... not very fancied though...

Moving up ahead... I think I would comment on two-digits...

Prime numbers have always fancied me... and would have captured many of your imaginations...

So what is my all-time fav number? A number that happens to be considered unlucky by many... Recently discovered that it is called a lucky prime though...

And yes... it scares triskaidekaphobiacs...

It is the number
13

And so number 91 also deserves special mention as it is obtained by 13 x 7...

There are many more such great numbers... Maybe I could bore you some other time...

Till then...

Bye from InTeGeR

Saying It...

Many a times I have faced this thing and I am sure a lot many people have faced it too... You are not able to say what you feel like saying because of the consequences...

Though a lot of people may be advising you to be a lot more open in expressing your views... it is not always possible right?

Suppose you were my friend and you found this blog to be awfully boring... how could say that to me straight? Well a close friend would have no problem saying it... I suppose... or a person could say it laughing... and I would think it was a joke...

But otherwise... how do you say bitter things that may or may not be entirely right?

Similar situations could be that a person is teaching me something very sincererly... and I nod my head to whatever he says... and I agree that I understand hoping that I will catch on as time goes... but soon I realize that person has just upped his pace and I am totally lost...

Some say that a good teacher should be able to repeat what they are saying without a frown... but what are the odds that the person belongs to that GOOD Group...

Yet another situation... A person wants to roam around with you but you are not in the mood to go out...

I could list out many more situations... but right now I am more worried in getting the solution...

A few say... yes there are some unavoidable situations in which you could risk someone misunderstanding you... so go ahead play the game... wear the mask...

Is that the answer? Maybe it is...

Are you one of the fellows who just realised about your mask... or do you feel like telling me to stop complaining and that is how it is at times...

I listen to you man... I am stopping... but just want to tell you... that it sometimes keeps me thinking... Why Why Why am I doing this...

Songs...

Almost all of us listen to songs and actually like listening to songs... Sources are varied... Even though the iPod has started off an MP3 player revolution... there are people who still use conventional means like cassette tapes... (Gramophones... anyone?)

Anyway, my subject is not about that... a bit narrower... Favorites among songs...

Slow melodious, classical, extreme rock... and hundreds of other genres...

Then there are songs for different moods...

Now... more to the core... how do you feel listening to a particular song...?

A dance track for example, keeps you racy... at times... I sometimes picture myself playing in a basketball match with these songs running in the background...

Rock music... is again... something you can listen in the day-time when you are not in any particular...

I am not into any Hard or Extreme Rock and so I have always wondered... How does one feel when you heard nothing but metal disturbed by some voices in between...? Strange...

Then something slower... classical... no voice... just music... it takes some to a different place and I am yet to experience it...

Romantic and other melodious songs... also have a similar effect...

So my opinion about songs... before I commence I must say that there are always exceptions...

A song must move you if you are really to enjoy it... and some of those moments are lying down with the music playing... some thoughts picture up in your mind and along with the music... it is an amazing experience...

In this regard, I remember one amazing artist... who does that quite easily... He does not require complex pieces of music or anything... The mix of music, voice is so... moving...

He is from the Tamil Industry and has captured lakhs for more than a decade... just pure music... which these days is losing its identity to Western Music... This is about Tamil music only...

The Tamil Artist - Ilayaraja

The best songs... Flashback songs... songs which bring up memories... of friends... or situations or anything...

I think I need not explain much about it... A song which was playing during an important event... or a song you liked during a particular stage of your life... etc...

There were some songs which brought memories of my mother... though the song itself has nothing to do with it...

At one point of time... I used to hear a song too often and the song, its melody and all paints a wonderful Flashback...

The song... Phil Collins... Another Day in Paradise...

Please Shut Up !!!

How many of you out there are good listeners... or rather prefer listening...

I always thought that people who write a lot do not talk much but rather perfer to listen...

Well... just a situation... Imagine you are a doctor who is married to a woman from the Software Industry... At the end of a typical day, you both reach home frustrated with the day that went by.., and naturally you start to explain all about your day...

The lady would be talking about just how her code would not work while you would be explaining how the appendix would just not come out... (I have no idea about all that... )

Naturally, you would not understand head or tail about what the other person wants to say... and in your lousy mood... you would not feel like asking that person and that person would get even more frustrated explaining...

To stop confusing you even further... wouldn't it be nice... if each person agrees that they had a lousy day and go ahead with the day rather than delivering a lecture it...

And anyway, what reaction are you expecting from the other person... Sympathy? Empathy? Solution??? I have no idea...

Well some say that it is always good to vent out your thoughts... My dear friend, when what you speak means nothing but crap to the other person... and also dulls his mood off... why do it???

So that is just a suggestion from my side... Learn to control your mouth... and that is not just endless talk and gossip... also things like these...

Once we learn this art... we would be a lot more independant... though this does not apply for all situations...

One final word... just before you start off on a long talk... just imagine yourself in the listener's position and talk... You would automatically filter out a lot of crap from your talk... :0

Have a nice week ahead...

P.S - Sorry for the harsh title... but that is what would be running in the head of a poor listener at times... (again I say it... at times only)

Chicken Run...

Well I guess by now you must have guessed what this topic is all about...

Chicken has always been one of my favorite dishes... Any dish involving chicken used to have no problem... it would always be delicious...

Another added advantage was that the other dishes needn't be nice if there was chicken to accompany them...

I maintained such a healthy relationship with dear chicken till...

Out of the blue came this news about bird flu... Whoever thought of infecting the chicken with such a bad disease... It is anyway very bad...

The disease was concentrated around China and we, in India were still not much concerned about those developments... But now they have confirmed its presence in India and I had to consider life more important than my friend, Chicken...

Anyway, I hope the disease passes by without any impact... Perhaps some vaccination for them or something for humans...

I know there are items like mutton and beef, but they are less friendly...

Finally, dear chicken , this blog is just to say how much I am missing you... I have we can meet again in the near future... However, as of now... we will have to say good-bye...

Your friend,
InTeGeR

P.S - Overheard at a chicken meet... "They wanted to eat, so they killed us... Now they don't want but again they kill us... Damn Homo Sapiens..."
